Network Problems After You Install Windows CE Services (183198)

SYMPTOMS

After you install Dial-Up Networking version 1.2 or Microsoft Windows CE Services, you may be unable to connect to your local area network (LAN).

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the installation of Dial-Up Networking version 1.2 or Windows CE Services changes your network adapter configuration.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network.
  2. Double-click TCP/IP -> Dial-Up Adapter.
  3. On the Bindings tab, click the Client For Microsoft Networks check box to select it.
  4. Click OK, click OK, and then close Control Panel.
