How to Scroll Web Pages Using a Three-Button Mouse (183089)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 for UNIX on Sun Solaris
This article was previously published under Q183089 SUMMARY
This article describes how to scroll Web pages in Internet Explorer using
a three-button mouse on a Sun workstation.
MORE INFORMATION
If three-button mouse functionality is enabled on the Sun workstation or X
server, you can use the middle mouse button to scroll Web pages in
Internet Explorer. To do so, position the mouse pointer on the Web page,
and then click the middle mouse button. This causes a circle with arrows
to be displayed. Moving the mouse pointer in the direction of an arrow
scrolls the Web page in that direction. To disable this functionality,
click the middle mouse button again.
NOTE: You can scroll a Web page only if scroll bars are displayed in the
browser window.
