PRJ98: Gridlines Do Not Print On Brother MFC 4500 ML Printer (182897)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you print to a Brother MFC 4500 ML printer, gridlines, borders, and timescale tick lines are not printed.

WORKAROUND

To resolve this problem, modify the printer properties and change the TrueType Mode from Download As Bit Image to Print As Graphics. To edit the printer properties, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Printers.
  2. Using the right mouse button, right-click the Brother Multi-Function printer icon, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
  3. Click the Details tab, and then click Setup.
  4. Click the Options button located on the right side of the dialog box.
  5. Under the TrueType Mode box, in the Mode list, click Print As Graphics.
  6. Click OK three times, to save the changes and exit the Printer Properties dialog box.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
