This article was previously published under Q182866

SYMPTOMS

When you use a Hewlett-Packard computer as an X Server to run Internet Explorer remotely, the following symptoms may occur:
  • The animated Internet Explorer logo (the "e" located in the upper-right corner of the browser window) is not refreshed properly when you resize the browser window.
  • If you open or drag a window on top of the browser window and then close or drag the window away from the browser window, the portions of the toolbar where the window overlapped are not refreshed properly (white rectangles appear).
  • When you are using Tab Window Manager (TWM), switching between Full Screen mode and Normal mode may cause your display to have problems redrawing the screen (only a small number of pixels are visible).
  • The ALT key is mapped as a Mode Switch key on a Hewlett-Packard computer. This is different from a Sun Solaris computer.
