Crop marks may not print when using a custom page size, if either dimension (width or height) is near the dimension of the actual paper being used.

The crop marks indicate the horizontal and vertical edges of the custom page size listed in the Page menu. All the marks are printed 0.25 inch OUTSIDE the edges of the custom size. Thus, if your custom size is within 0.25 inch of the actual printed page size, the crop marks will not print -- they are effectively printing off the physical page.

You can use WordPad to determine the printable area for your printer, by following these steps:
  1. On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click WordPad.
  2. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
  3. Set the Top, Bottom, Left and Right margin measurements to 0.
  4. Click OK.
  5. On the File menu, click Page Setup. The values for the printable area for your default printer will appear.
