WD98: Quit Word is Not Recorded Using AppleScript Editor (178712)

When you use AppleScript to record a macro, the Quit Word event is not
recorded.

To work around this problem, you can modify the script to close Word. The
following sample AppleScript script demonstrates this workaround. This
script does the following:
- Starts Word.
- Opens a document named "MyWordFile."
- Prints the document.
- Quits Word.

tell Application "Microsoft Word"
run
open "MyWordFile"
print "MyWordFile"
quit "Microsoft Word"
end tell
