PUB98: Search All Drives in Find File Does Not Include Floppy (178569)

If you run a Find File search and select All Drives in the Search On Drive
list, the search results do not include publications that are located on
floppy disk drives.
CAUSE
The Search All Drives parameter in the Find File dialog box makes Publisher
search all local hard drives, local CD-ROM drives, and attached network
drives. To keep the search time as low as possible, Publisher does not
search floppy disk drives in this situation.
RESOLUTION
You can find publications on floppy disk drives using one of the following
Methods.
Method 1
In the Publisher Find File dialog box, specifically choose drive A or B in
the Search On Drive list.
Method 2
Use the Windows 95 Find feature to search all drives. For more information
about the Find feature, click the Index tab in Windows 95 Help, type the
following text
searching for, files or folders
and then double-click the selected text to go to the "Finding a file or
folder" topic.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
