Money 98: Deleting Latest Price Causes Incorrect Account Value (178149)

SYMPTOMS

When you delete the most recent price of an investment from the price history, Microsoft Money may not update the Account Value in the footer of the Account Register. Money still represents the investment at the price you just deleted.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when both of the following conditions are true:
  • You buy an investment more than once, and at different prices.

    -and-
  • You delete the most recent price.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, close Money and then reopen Money.
