Modem Does Not Disconnect from NetMeeting Conference (175975)

SYMPTOMS

When in a NetMeeting conference and the computer that initiated the NetMeeting conference hangs up, the following behavior may occur:
  • The receiving modem may not disconnect from the NetMeeting conference.
  • Neither computer can connect to an Internet Locator server (ILS), or call another user.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur when a connection is established between two computers using U.S. Robotics 56K modems.

MORE INFORMATION

If a connection is established and only one of the computers has a U.S. Robotics 56K modem, this behavior does not occur.
