The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft ActiMates Barney 1.0

This article was previously published under Q172664

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft ActiMates Interactive Barney doesn't play peekaboo when you cover his eyes.

CAUSE

Too much light is getting into Barney's eyes.

MORE INFORMATION

ActiMates Barney's eyes are light-sensitive. If you cover Barney's eyes and he doesn't play peekaboo, too much light is getting into his eyes. If too much light gets into Barney's eyes, he won't recognize that you're covering them. For example, if you cover his eyes with a cloth, too much light may be getting through the cloth.

Try covering Barney's eyes with your hands and make sure light isn't getting in between your fingers. ActiMates Barney's left eye has a light sensor in it. When you cover Barney's eyes, make sure his left eye is covered. If you only cover Barney's right eye, he won't play peekaboo.

NOTE: ActiMates Barney must be "awake" before he will play peekaboo. To wake him up, squeeze one of his hands or feet.
