Unable to Use IE Browser to Ftp Through the FTP/AFTP Gateway (171380)

SYMPTOMS

You may be unable to use the Internet Explorer 3.01 browser to FTP through SNA Server's FTP/AFTP gateway.

CAUSE

The FTP/AFTP Service was not able to support separator values used in Internet Browsers.

RESOLUTION

The SNA Server FTP/AFTP Gateway now supports the use of Separator values in an Internet Browser.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT SNA Server, version 3.0 Server Pack 1. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression-tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix.
