In Pocket Internet Explorer version 1.1, you cannot download a .wav file
from an Internet site by tapping a link that points to the .wav file. When
you tap a link to a .wav file, Pocket Internet Explorer seems to process
the request, but the file is not downloaded to your Handheld PC (H/PC).

in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
