This article was previously published under Q166898 SUMMARY
Corruption of the password list file (PWL) causes a number of Microsoft
Outlook 97 problems. Rebuilding the PWL by deleting or renaming it often
resolves these problems.
After installing the Microsoft Windows 95 Service Pack 1, password list
files can become damaged even after you remove them and they are re-created
automatically. To resolve this issue, run the Windows 95 Password List
Update program (Mspwlupd.exe) to repair the existing PWL file.
