PI: ErrMsg: Kodak DC50 Camera Not Connected (166887)

SYMPTOMS

When trying to acquire images from the Kodak DC50, you may receive an error message that the camera is not connected.

CAUSE

Your computer has a version of Kodak's PictureWorks Photoenhancer for the DC50 or Photoenhancer Plus installed.

RESOLUTION

To correct the problem, move these files as follows:
  1. Click the Start button, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
  2. Go to the \Windows\System folder and locate the two files:

    Dc50.dll, Dc50ip.dll

  3. To select both files, click the first file hold down the CTRL key and click the second.
  4. Right-click the selected files, and click Cut from the menu that appears.
  5. Right-click the Photen folder (or whatever folder you installed Photoenhancer to) and click Paste on the menu that appears.
If you continue to have problems, do the following:
  1. Click the Start button, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
  2. Go to the \Windows\Twain\DC50 folder and locate the two files:

    Dc50.dll, Dc50ip.dll

  3. To select both files, click the first file hold down the CTRL key and click the second.
  4. Right-click the selected files, and click Cut on the menu that appears.
  5. Right-click the \Windows\System folder and click Paste on the menu that appears.
