SUMMARY

In Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0, the system attendant may stop responding when generating the Offline Address Book.

CAUSE

This is caused by the total details of an object being greater than 1 KB. In Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0, an object detail greater than 1 KB will cause the system attendant to stop responding.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange 5.0 . This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Exchange Server 5.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
