SYMPTOMS

When you perform an unattended Setup of Internet Explorer 3.02, a standard Setup may be performed instead.

CAUSE

Setup was run with the /Q switch.

RESOLUTION

To perform an unattended Setup of Internet Explorer 3.02, use the following syntax:
   msie302 /Q:A

You can also use "msie302 /Q:A /R:AS" to cause the computer to restart automatically after Setup finishes.

NOTE: These switches work only with the Msie302.exe file. They do not work with other files, such as the Msie302mnt.exe file.

MORE INFORMATION

The /Q:A switch is a new switch that has been implemented in version 3.02. The older /Q switch works only with earlier versions of Internet Explorer.
