SYMPTOMS

This article applies to Microsoft Chat Server. Persistent channels with the Autostart flag set are isolated on servers; they are not replicating across portals.

CAUSE

This is caused by code error in handling first user / autostart.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System version 1.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Commercial Internet System version 1.0.
