SUMMARY

To print banners on continuous feed paper without any blank space between the pages, you must make an adjustment to the printer settings before you start Greetings Workshop. This article describes how to do so.

Selecting Continuous Feed Paper

To print a banner using continuous feed paper, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Greetings Workshop if it is open.
  2. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and choose Printers.
  3. Click once on the icon for your printer to select it.
  4. Click on the File menu and choose Properties.
  5. Look for a setting allowing you to choose between Cut Sheet and Banner (also called Fan Fold). The location of this setting will vary depending on the model of printer.
  6. Click OK to this window.
  7. If necessary, make any required banner setting change on the printer hardware.
  8. Launch Greetings Workshop and print the banner.
NOTE: This change will affect printing in all Windows programs. Remember to change it back to cut-sheet when you are finished printing to continuous feed paper. To change the setting back to cut-sheet, follow the steps above, but select cut-sheet instead of banner in step 4.

MORE INFORMATION

Some printers are designed to use a custom page size for printing on banner paper. An example would be setting the printer driver to 8.5" x 33" inch paper to print a three page banner. Setting the paper size to something other than 8.5" x 11" may cause the printer to jam when printing from Greetings Workshop.

In order to print on banner paper from Greetings Workshop, the printer must support banner paper. Greetings Workshop will not work with page sizes other than 8.5" x 11."
