Mac Works 4.0: Imported Clipart Picture Does Not Print (162876)

SYMPTOMS

When a picture is imported or inserted into a Works document, the picture will not print. However, the picture appears on the document and in Print Preview.

CAUSE

The picture may not contain any Encapsulated Postscript (EPS) code. Works requires this code to be in the picture to print it.

RESOLUTION

Do the following to print the picture from Works:
  1. Open your Works document.
  2. On the Tool Palette click the Paint Object tool. The Paint Object is represented by the Paintbrush on the Tool Palette.
  3. With the Paint Object tool selected, draw an area on your document to insert the picture.
  4. On the Insert menu, click Picture.
  5. Locate the picture to be inserted, then click Insert.
The picture will now print from your Works document.
