  • Microsoft Team Manager

This article was previously published under Q161086

SYMPTOMS

When using Microsoft Windows 95 on a Banyan Vines Network, Microsoft Team Manager has to have a fully qualified UNC path for Browse dialog boxes.

CAUSE

The Browse dialog boxes in Microsoft Team Manager may not evaluate drive letter mappings correctly when using Banyan Vines networks.

RESOLUTION

To correctly connect to a network share, start the share name with two backslashes. For example, to connect to the share Netdrive, use the following syntax
   \\Netdrive

instead of
   Netdrive
