The templates that come with Membership Services support only standard
characters for Member passwords. The upper and lowercase letters and the
numerals 0 through nine, as well as the hyphen and the underscore, are the
allowed characters in those templates.
MORE INFORMATION
SQL Server and the Membership Services can handle all 7-bit based ASCII
characters (0-127). The customer can modify the templates to allow for all
of the 7- bit ASCII characters.
