TMGR: Scrolling Behavior in a View When Group By Option Select (159390)
The information in this article applies to:
This article was previously published under Q159390 SYMPTOMS
You may see the following behavior scrolling through a document when you
are using the Group By option for a view: - The sliding bar on the vertical scroll bar may not move when clicking
above or below the sliding bar to page up or page down. This may also
happen if you are clicking the top or bottom arrow buttons on the
vertical scroll bars.
- The selected item may change in the view if you are using the sliding
bar to scroll through the list. This is most obvious when there are few
items in each of the categories of the group.
- When dragging the sliding button on the vertical scroll bar, the button
only stops at specific point on the scroll bar. It seems you cannot
position it at the exact location you want.
CAUSE
When using the Group By option in a view, the scroll range is set to the
number of category items in the group. In this case, scrolling does not
follow a smooth, linear progression through the document. The sliding
button on the scroll bar jumps to discrete locations. Each of these
positions matches one of the categories in the group.
