This article was previously published under Q159387 SUMMARY
When you change the status to completed in the Task Properties dialog box,
Team Manager uses the Reschedule From date and the current system date on
the computer to determine how the remaining work should be distributed as
actual work across the length of the task. The following scenarios
describes how Team Manager uses these dates:
Case 1: No actual work has been applied: - If the current date is the same or later than the Reschedule From date
for the person, Actual work is applied to the current date.
-or-
- If the current date is earlier than the Reschedule From date, the actual
work is applied to the date preceding the Reschedule From date for the
person.
Case 2: Some actual work has been applied: - If the current date is earlier than the Reschedule From date, the actual
work is applied to the date preceding the Reschedule From date for the
person.
-or-
- If the current date is the same or later than the Reschedule From date
and there is no working time between these date, the actual work is
evenly distributed between these dates.
-or-
- If the current date is the same or later than the Reschedule From date
and there is one or more working days between these dates, actual work
is evenly distributed between the working days of the time period.
MORE INFORMATION
To determine the Reschedule From date for a person, Team Manager calculates
the latest date that has actual work applied to the person. This date is
incremented 1 day and that becomes the new Reschedule From date for the
person. For example if a person has a Reschedule From date of 6/1/96 and 4
hours of actual work is entered for 6/3/96, Team Manager will update the
Reschedule From date to 6/4/96.
