FIX: Access Violation With Natural ANSI Join with View (158462)

SYMPTOMS

On a computer running Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 Service Pack 1, a natural join between a table and a view using the ANSI INNER JOIN syntax results in a handled access violation, if the view includes a Column1 = Column2 restriction clause.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 Service Pack 1. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. For more information, contact your primary support provider.
