This article was previously published under Q157215

SYMPTOMS

When you download Custom Creations from Kodak's Internet Web site, a dialog box gives you the choice to Open or Save the file. Depending on the Web browser you are using and the command you choose, you may see one of the following:

  • If your browser is Internet Explorer 3.0 and you click Open, the downloaded file will open in Picture It! as a static picture not a Custom Creation.
  • If you're using any browser and you click Save, the file will download to the location you specify and it will have a NIX file extension that Picture It! does not recognize.
To successfully download Custom Creations do one of the following:

  • Use Internet Explorer 3.0 and follow the steps below.

    -or-
  • Use any other Web browser and click Open when prompted.

RESOLUTION

To download Creations using Internet Explorer 3.0, do the following:

  1. Start Picture It!.
  2. On the Just Add It! menu, click Download Creations. This will take you to Kodak's Internet Web page.
  3. Select a Custom Creation.
  4. When prompted to Open or Save the file, click Save It To Disk and save it to the desktop (\Windows\Desktop).
  5. When the download is complete, double-click the file. Double-clicking the file starts Kodak's Kmovr.exe program which moves the file to the correct Picture It! directory, gives it a descriptive name, and changes its file extension from nix to mix.

MORE INFORMATION
