TMGR: Cannot Drop OLE Objects in Profile Information View (155554)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Team Manager

This article was previously published under Q155554

SYMPTOMS

OLE objects cannot be dragged to a custom OLE object field in the Microsoft Team Manager Profile Information view. However, OLE objects can be copied and pasted into these fields.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

Although custom OLE object fields can be inserted in the Profile Information view, this view does not support the drag-and-drop feature. Trying to drop an OLE object in such a field displays the "no drop" pointer.

Objects can be dragged to a custom OLE object field in any view with fields displayed as columns in a table, such as the Task Organizer and Team List views.
