The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Team Manager

This article was previously published under Q155538

SUMMARY

Creating a new team file or opening an existing one does not change the selected date or date range in the Dates drag-and-drop tool.

MORE INFORMATION

The Dates tool is available in any view that contains a task or assignment table, such as the Task Organizer view and the Task Assignments view. To use the Dates tool, on the Tools menu, click Drag-and-Drop Tools, and then click Dates. A calendar is displayed that allows a date or range of dates to be selected and dragged to a task. If a single date is dragged, it sets the Deadline field of the task. If a range of dates is selected, the first date in the range sets the Earliest Start field, and the last date in the range sets the Deadline field.

When Team Manager starts, the selected date in the Dates tool defaults to the current date. The selected date or date range in the Dates tool remains selected until a new selection is made, or until Team Manager is restarted, at which time the date defaults to the current date. Creating a new team file or opening an existing team file has no effect on the selection.
