TMGR: Overload Work Assigned to New Person with Drag-and- Drop (152326)

When you use the People Drag-and-Drop tool to assign an additional person
to a task with overloaded work, the tool automatically assigns the
overloaded work to the new person.

The Drag-and-Drop tool only assigns work automatically if the task has
overloaded work. When you assign an additional person to a task by using
the drop-down list in the People Assigned field, the work is not
automatically assigned to the new person, whether the work is overloaded or
not.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the product listed at the
beginning on this article. We are researching this problem and will post
new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes
available.
