SYMPTOMS

The text in either the Header or Footer does not scale even if you have clicked to select the Fit To option on the View tab in the Page Setup dialog box.

You can change the size of the text in the Header or Footer manually by selecting different font sizes. To change the text size in the Header or Footer, follow these steps:

  1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
  2. In the Page Setup dialog box, click the Header or Footer tab.
  3. Select the text that you want to modify.
  4. Click the Fonts button.
  5. Enter a new font size.
