Automap: Error Type-GP Fault with CyberMedia First Aid 95 (147634)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Automap Streets 4.0
This article was previously published under Q147634 SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to print an Automap map on a computer running CyberMedia
First Aid 95 Crash Protector, you receive the following error message,
Application Error
Error Type - GP Fault
Program - NBAMW4V4
Directory <drive>:<folder name>
The message includes the option to Autofix or End Task.
If you click Autofix you are returned to the application. If you click
End Task, you return to the desktop.
CAUSE
This occurs if Adobe Type Manager (ATM) is installed on your computer. ATM
modifies the System.ini file by changing the System.drv line and adding two
new lines.
For example:
[Boot]<BR/>
SYSTEM.DRV=ATMSYS.DRV<BR/>
ATM.SYSTEM.DRV=SYSTEM.DRV
RESOLUTION
To resolve the problem, stop using ATM with Automap. To ensure that
ATM is not running, open the System.ini file in a text editor such as
Windows Notepad and check the file. The System.ini file should
read as follows:
[Boot]
SYSTEM.DRV=SYSTEM.DRV
For information about modifying .ini files, see your Windows printed
documentation or online Help. For additional information about ATM,
