OFF95: Post To Exchange Folder Command Fails (145573)

SYMPTOMS

In an Office document, when you click Post To Exchange Folder on the File menu, any of the following messages may appear:

  • <Program> was unable to post your document.
  • General Microsoft Exchange failure. Check your Exchange installation and try again.
  • No shortcuts to public Microsoft Exchange folders were found.
  • Cannot find the folder called "Public Shortcuts Folder." Please connect to a Microsoft Exchange server to create this folder.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, manually copy the document to the Microsoft Exchange folder.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Exchange client that is included in Microsoft Windows 95. A workaround for this problem is included in Office versions 7.0a and 7.0b. If you are using Microsoft Project, a correction for this problem is included in Microsoft Project for Windows 95 version 4.1a
