- Microsoft Excel for Windows 95 7.0a
- Microsoft Excel for Windows 5.0c
- Microsoft Excel for Windows NT 5.0
- Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh 5.0a
This article was previously published under Q140628 SYMPTOMS
In the versions of Microsoft Excel listed above, you cannot set the Zoom
property of the PageSetup class using an undefined variable set to a value
in a worksheet range. For example, the following code will fail:
Sub Test()
X = Worksheets(1).Cells(1, 1).Value
ActiveSheet.PageSetup.Zoom = X
End Sub
When you run this macro, you receive the following error message:
Unable to set the Zoom property of the PageSetup class.
CAUSE
The Zoom property only accepts integer values. When an undefined variable
is set to a range value that contains an integer in a worksheet, the
variable type is changed to the Double type.
