OFF: AutoCorrect Feature Doesn't Work in Dialog Boxes (136969)

SYMPTOMS

In the Microsoft programs listed above, the AutoCorrect feature does not work when you enter text in any dialog box, including the Properties dialog box.

CAUSE

The AutoCorrect feature allows you to create entries that replace a word that you type with another word. For example, one of the default entries replaces the word "teh" with "the". However, this feature does not work in dialog boxes, including the Properties dialog box (on the File menu, click Properties). For example, when you enter information in the Comments field in the Properties dialog box for a file, if you type a word that has an AutoCorrect entry, the word is not replaced by the word specified in that AutoCorrect entry.
