PRJ41: "Topic Does Not Exist" for DocumentProperties Property (136878)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, when you view Help for the CustomDocumentProperties property or the BuiltInDocumentProperties property, you receive the following error message:
The topic does not exist. Contact your application vendor for an updated Help file. (129)

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you create a macro that uses the CustomDocumentProperties property or the BuiltInDocumentProperties property, and you attempt to display Help for this property by using the Object Browser or context sensitive Help (pressing F1 with the keyword selected in the module).

Although the CustomDocumentProperties property and the BuiltInDocumentProperties property are included as topics in the Microsoft Project Help file, you cannot display Help for these topics by using the Object Browser or context sensitive Help in a module.

RESOLUTION

To display the Help topic for the CustomDocumentProperties Property or the BuiltInDocumentProperties property, do the following:

  1. In Microsoft Project, click Microsoft Project Help Topics on the Help menu.
  2. Click the Index tab.
  3. Enter the following text:

    CustomDocumentProperties (for CustomDocumentProperties Property Help)

    -or-

    Buitlin Document (for BuiltInDocumentProperties Property Help)

  4. Click Display.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
