SYMPTOMS

If you run a Find File search and select All Drives in the Search On Drive list, the search results do not include publications that are located on floppy disk drives.

CAUSE

The Search All Drives parameter in the Find File dialog box makes Publisher search all local hard drives, local CD-ROM drives, and attached network drives. To keep the search time as low as possible, Publisher does not search floppy disk drives in this situation.

RESOLUTION

You can find publications on floppy disk drives using one of the following methods:

Method 1: In Publisher's File Find dialog box, choose drive A or B
          specifically in the Search On Drive list.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
