SUMMARY

While you can't directly edit the colors of the BorderArt patterns that come with Publisher for Windows 95, you can use the Recolor command to change the color of a frame that has BorderArt applied to it.

To change the color of a frame that has BorderArt applied to it:
  1. Use the rectangle tool to draw a rectangle the size of the border you want to create.
  2. On the Format menu, click BorderArt.
  3. Click the BorderArt pattern you want to use and then click OK.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Cut Box.
  5. On the Edit menu, click Paste Special and then click Picture in the list of data types.
  6. On the Format menu, click Recolor Picture.
  7. From the palette, choose the color you want to change the border to. Click OK.
You have now achieved the effect of recolored BorderArt.

NOTE: You can only use this method to change all the colors in a BorderArt design to a single color of your choice.
