SYMPTOMS

When you use duplexing and print multiple copies of a document containing an odd number of pages, the first page of each additional copy may print on the back of the previous copy's last page.

Duplexing allows you to print the pages of your document back-to-back. That is, page 2 of your document will print on the back of page 1.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use one of the following workarounds:

  • Add a blank page to the end of your document so that it results in an even number of pages. Then, you can enter the desired number of copies in the Print dialog box.

    -or-

  • With Works version 3.0 running under Windows 3.0, click Printer Setup from the File menu within Works, and click Setup. Enter the number of copies in the Copy box.

    With Works version 3.0 running under Windows 95, you must change the number of copies by going into properties for your printer. Refer to your Window's 95 documentation for more information on how to modify your printer's properties.

    With Works version 4.0, 4.5, or 4.5a, click Print from the File menu, and uncheck the Collate option located in the Copies section of this dialog.

    NOTE: This workaround does not collate your copies. It prints the number of copies you requested for the first page, then the second page, and so on.
