To run Microsoft Works for Windows 3.0, you need:

  • MS-DOS operating system version 3.1 or later
  • Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1 or later
  • Personal computer using a 386SX or higher microprocessor
  • 4 MB of memory
  • Hard disk with 4 to 14 MB of available space: Minimum installation: 4 MB Full installation: 14 MB
  • One 3.5-inch high-density (1.44 MB) disk drive and a hard disk
  • VGA or compatible video graphics adapter and monitor

Optional

  • Hayes or compatible modem required for communications
  • Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device is recommended
  • Supports Microsoft LAN Manager, Microsoft Windows for Workgroups, and other popular networks such as Novell
