Works: Subscript/Superscript Causes Line Spacing Inconsistency (102730)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works 2.0
- Microsoft Works 2.0a
This article was previously published under Q102730 SYMPTOMS
When you format text as subscript or superscript in a double-spaced Word
Processing document, the current line of text is pushed up one line. This
results in inconsistent line spacing.
You can make this problem less noticeable by increasing the line
spacing to approximately 2.3 lines. Use the following steps to change
the line spacing:
- Highlight the paragraphs that you want double spaced.
- From the Format menu, choose Indents & Spacing.
- In the Space between lines box, type 2.3. Choose OK.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works versions 2.0 and
2.0a. We are researching this problem and will post new information
here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
