WfW Client Returns Invalid Drive Error (100955)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft LAN Manager 2.2
This article was previously published under Q100955 SUMMARY
When using FoxPro 2.0 off of a LAN Manager server share, only one
Windows for Workgroups (WfW) client can access the share. The second
WfW client gets an "invalid drive" error when it tries to access FoxPro.
The following action resolves the problem:
Add SRVHEURISTICS=0XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX line in the [server] section of
LANMAN.INI file. The "0" option is used to turn off the "Request
opportunistic locking" when opening files to make the server service
seems like the only application running on the server.
Then run the LM csd00.018 with WfW.
