ZipFile Contents

When you extract the files in the zipfile, please ensure that you extract the files with their directories intact.

Installation

DLL

Please copy gjfbus16.dll from the DLL subdirectory in this distribution to your Windows system directory (system32 on Windows NT or 2000).

Components

Firstly, open Delphi.
(If you have a previous version of Mobile FBus Delphi components installed, please ensure you remove them first)

Select the "File" menu item and then select "Open".
Browse to the path you extracted the files in the zipfile to, then in the directory called "Shareware\delphi4" or "Shareware\delphi5" select the file called MBUS.dpk
This will then open up another form. There will be an "Install" button. Select this, then it will install the needed components etc. it should also tell you that some components were installed in a message dialog.
Assuming all is ok, you now need to install a component required by the Demo application.
To do this, select "Component" file menu item, and select "Install Component".
This will open another form called "Install component". Click on the browse button  beside the "Unit File Name" text box.
Now navigate to where the directory the files from the zipfile were extracted to, and look for the directory "Demo Components", and in there select "Outlook.pas", and press the "open" button, then press the "ok button".
This will then install the required component for the demo, and as before, it will pop up a message dialog to tell you it was installed.

(please note: you may also need to enter the path to the Mobile FBUS components and the component for the demo to your delphi library path, which you do by selecting the "Tools" menu item, then select "Environment Options", then select the "Library" tab, then clicking on the button opposite the "Library Path" text box. In here you navigate to the Mobile Fbus component directory, and add it, and to the directory the component for the demo is located in. You will know if this need to be done, if you run the Demo application, and it reports an error that it cant find a file)

Navigate to the location where the files in the zipfile were extracted to, and look for a directory called either "FBUSDemo_Delphi4" or "FBUSDemo_Delphi5". Choose basied on your Delphi version.
Select the file "MFBUSDemo.dpr" and this will open the demo. Provided that you have done the installation step above, you will be able to run the demo.
