This updater updates Claris Emailer Lite 1.0v2 and 1.0v3 to Claris Emailer Lite 1.1v3.
Updating Emailer to version 1.1v3 is required for compatibility with Open Transport 1.1.1 and beyond.

This software will update all previous versions of Claris Emailer Lite to Claris Emailer Lite 1.1v3. It updates either the Macintosh 68k version, PowerMac version, or FAT version to the equivalent 1.1v3 version. It will not update any Claris Emailer trial version or any version of Claris Emailer (non-Lite). If you are unsure of which version you are using, launch your current Claris Emailer application and select ÒAbout Claris Emailer..Ó from the Apple menu. 

Prior to installation Claris recommends that you restart your Macintosh with extensions off by holding down the SHIFT key during system startup, or by starting up with system 7.5.x extensions only which can be chosen from the Sets menu in the Extensions Manager control panel.


Claris Emailer Lite 1.1v3 has four new features added since 1.0v2.

The following section lists changes and fixes that were made in 1.1v3.

* Now runs properly under Open Transport 1.1.1.
* Domain names are now cached for Open Transport connections.
* Added support for Open Transport on 68K Macintosh.
* Leading spaces in incoming subjects are stripped.
* Creating new folders in the Filing Cabinet no longer gives an error message.
* The Type field on outgoing messages can no longer be blank.
* Toggling arrows in a new mail window no longer marks a message as changed.
* Clicking the recipient or enclosure tab no longer marks a message as changed.
* Meta-characters are now stripped out of Window menu listings of Filing Cabinet windows.
* Enhanced error reporting format for unknown errors in the connection logs.
* Now recovers better from addressing errors in Internet connections.
* Errors for invalid local recipients for Internet messages are now reported.
* When sending hundreds of messages at once, no longer reports Òtoo many files open.Ó
* Header ÒtitlesÓ are now in bold in the newly renamed Show Original Headers dialog.
* The filename variable in content-disposition headers of Internet messages are now handled properly.
* Outgoing quoted-printable messages with enclosures are now handled better.
* Now writes a date header for outgoing Internet messages.
* Dragging an enclosure to the Finder Desktop now positions the file correctly.
