w3m-0.3.2.2: description + notes

w3m is a feature-rich text-mode web browser similar to lynx. w3m has optional support for color, menus, mouse input, cookies, Japanese character sets, and SSL connections (using the openSSL library). It can also render tables and frames (by converting frames into tables), and since w3m started life as a pager, it will render HTML from stdin. w3m also includes optional scripts to allow browsing manual pages and local directories as if they were HTML.

Recent versions include support for inline images using Imlib and have (untested) support for handling X-Face headers if "uncompface" is available.

In order for images to be properly displayed, you may need to set the Force Visual ID option in the Display tab of imlib_config.
