TransFig is a set of tools (transfig, fig2dev, fig2ps2tex, and pic2tpic) for creating TeX documents with graphics that are portable, in the sense that they can be printed in a wide variety of environments. The xfig drawing program is available in a separate package.
transfig-3.2.4: description + notes
The transfig command translates Fig code to various graphics description languages using the fig2dev program. fig2dev is a general program for translating from Fig code to other graphics desciption languages. Drivers currently exist for the following graphics langauges: (E)EPIC macros, LaTeX picture environment, PIC, PiCTeX, PostScript, and TeXtyl.
