gtkglarea-1.2.3: description + notes

GtkGLArea is an OpenGL widget for GTK+ GUI toolkit. The gtkglarea home page has more details.

Just as GTK+ is build on top of GDK, GtkGLArea is built on top of gdkgl which is basically wrapper around GLX functions. The widget itself is derived from GtkDrawinigArea widget and adds only few extra functions.

Some sample programs are installed in /usr/freeware/doc/gtkglarea. See the README file in that directory for instructions. They are:

Developers intending to use this library for development of other freeware packages or their own software applications will need to be familiar with a few peculiarities due to the way that this library is packaged and installed.
