Copy the updated IPX.NLM into the NOVELL\CLIENT32 directory. ISSUE: There are 300+ alias object in a container. When attempt is made to add a user to a group, the NWADMIN.EXE program has to resolve every alias to determine if it aliases a group object. With the Novell Client v2.5 for Windows 95/98 this takes about 3 minutes. However, with the Novell Client v3.01 for Windows 95/98 it takes 10-15 minutes. When resolving names, the Novell Client v3.01 RIPs 4 times for every server in the referral list that it receives, with a 110 ms wait between each RIP. The Novell Client v2.5 RIPs once. On ethernet, specifying a frame type resolves the problem by forcing the client to RIP on only one frame. However, on token ring setting the frame type has no effect. Traces shows all 4 RIPs on 802.2 Self-Extracting File Name: 9530IPX.EXE Files Included Size Date Time ..\ 9530IPX.TXT (This file) IPX.NLM 112322 11-5-1998 4:41:28 am ----------------------------------------------------------------- Any trademarks referenced in this document are the property of their respective owners.
