Hello Volumizers,

Thank you to those of you who attended the October 27 Volumizer Birds of
a Feather meeting at Visualization '99. For those of you who couldn't
make it, we are providing a report on the meeting below. As always we
continue to request your input on requirements you have for OpenGL
Volumizer.

===================================

Later, we see Volumizer moving to a new and better architecture. We

- Volume Roaming

Volumizer 2.1

- Quality improvements for perspective rendering
- Large Volume Arbitrary Slicing

Volumizer 2.2
- Multi-Volume Support
- Overlapping volumes
- Multi-variate volumes
- Multi-Resolution Volume
- Disk based data management

Additional Feature Possibilities
- Operational Volume Modification (i.e. add, subtract, and, or, not)
- File Loaders (i.e. 3D tiff, DICOM)
- Volume Processing (i.e. region connectivity, filtering)

Thank you to Sean Spicer and Chikai Ohazama for your interesting demos
at the BOF.

We look forward to continued interaction with the Volumizer community.

Best Regards,
