ECO KIT SUMMARY:
This patch makes PATHWORKS 32 V7.0A Year 2000 Ready.
The PW3270A_E01 ECO kit fixes the following Year 2000 related
problems for both the Alpha and Intel platforms:
NOTE: If you are running the original version 7.0 of PATHWORKS 32,
you must upgrade to 7.0A prior to installing these new files.

1- NFTW list of local files would incorrectly display the date for
files of year 2000 and beyond.
2- If a file on the PW32 system has a date of year 2000 or beyond,
an attempt to copy this file to a remote VMS system would fail
and result in a protocol error.
NOTE: NFTW.EXE uses dates with a two-digit year format: MM-DD-YY
in the local file list and DD-MMM-YY in the remote file list.
For example,
February 25, 1997 would be listed as 02-25-97 and 25-FEB-97,
while
February 25, 2005 would be listed as 02-25-05 and 25-FEB-05.

(root) directory for more information.

INSTALLATION NOTES:
This ECO patch kit contains PC files in a self-extracting archive format
(PW3270A_E01.EXE). To uncompress the kit:
1. Create an MS-DOS command prompt window.
2. Create a temporary directory on the PC's local hard drive.
For example: C:\> MKDIR C:\TMP
3. Copy PW3270A_E01.EXE to the \TMP directory. The file may need
to be renamed to accommodate the DOS naming convention of 8.3.
4. Expand the .EXE kit by typing the file name at the command
line prompt followed by the "-d" option switch. (The "-d"
must be lowercase; do not include the quotes). This switch
preserves the directory structure within the kit.
A target destination may be specified at the end of the
command line. If no destination is specified, it will
expand the files in the current directory.
For example: C:\TMP> PW3270A_E01.EXE -d
This will expand the file into its individual components
with the directory structure intact and place them in the
C:\TMP\ directory.
5. Follow directions in the README.TXT file (inside .EXE file)
to install these updates to your PATHWORKS 32 V7.0A client.
