This kit addresses the following problems: o Starting a tpsystem as a Windows NT service If you tried to start a tpsystem as a service prior to this release it would not work. This has been corrected. o XA support using Encina Prior to this release XA transactional support using the ACMSxp Encina option had not been tested due to the lack of a XA compliant resource manager. This feature has been successfully tested and all known problems have been corrected. The testing was done on Oracle 7.3.3.4. INSTALLATION NOTES: For more information, please refer to the ACMSxp V3.1 for Windows NT Installation Guide. Installing ACMSxp for Windows NT Intel Software: The Intel platform includes the following directories: \acmsxp\intel\acmsxp_base \acmsxp\intel\acmsxp_dtc \acmsxp\intel\acmsxp_encina \acmsxp\intel\acmsxp_gui Each subdirectory on the CDROM contains its own setup.exe program. Place the ACMSxp for Windows NT disk in the CDROM drive that you can access from your Windows NT system. Run the setup.exe program in the appropriate directory on the CDROM drive. Use the following directory path: \acmsxp\intel\acmsxp_base There are three ways to tell if this ECO kit is installed. 1. All images associated with this kit have a date of 1/12/98. 2. Under the MyComputer\control panel\Add Remove Programs icon and entry is made for ACMSxp V3.1-1 3. This ECO kit is a fully installable kit that does not require any previous version of ACMSxp in order to install. During installation an entry is made in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DigitalEquipmentCorporation\ACMSxp. The entry would be as follows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DigitalEquipmentCorporation\ACMSxp\V3.1-1 If you run the registry editor and double click on the V3.1-1 portion of the entry you will see a variety of entries, several of which will tell you were the kit is installed.
