ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for DECnet/SNA Remote Job Entry V1.4 for OpenVMS
VAX, Version 5.5 or higher and OpenVMS AXP V6.1. The DECnet SNA Remote Job
Entry Release Notes contain a complete explanation of this release.
Below is a brief description of this ECO:
o ECO-13 Has Been Built With Updated (ECO-18) SNAAI layers.
o Fixed a submit problem whereby duplicate records would appear on
the RJE Reader stream. This occurred on the OpenVMS AXP platform
version only.
o Allow receipt of JES PDIR message to create separate output files.
Installation should remove comment line to SNARJE$SERVER.COM that
defines SNARJE$PDIR_FLAG as 1. This will customize SNARJE to
create a new output file after receipt of each PDIR message.
o Prior to this ECO, SUBMIT/SNA submitted all instances of a file
when the current directory path included multiple (i.e.
concatenated) directories. This ECO causes SUBMIT/SNA to select
only the first instance of the file.
o Connect NCB to SNARJE MPX specifying the nodename if possible,
rather than 0 for the local node.
o Fixed SUBMIT/SNA no such queue problem. This occurs when SNARJE
queue is referenced through the use of a logical name.
o Fixed OpenVMS based SNARJE$SERVER crashes due to deallocation of
incorrect blocks when setting a workstation state off. The
deallocated blocks may be owned and referenced by a second
workstation at which time the crash occurs.
INSTALLATION NOTES:
The ECO kit is installed with the VMSINSTAL command procedure.
The ECO kit checks to ensure that a valid license is installed before
proceeding. If one is not found, the installation aborts.
